Emma Rosenthal is a Maryland native who completed her graduate studies in Occupational Therapy at Clarkson University in upstate New York and her undergraduate studies in Psychology at North Carolina State University in Raleigh, North Carolina.

Emma is particularly passionate about the study of anatomy and how the manual manipulation of bone, joints, and tissue heals dysfunction and pain of the hand, wrist, elbow, and shoulder. In addition to her rehabilitation specialties, Emma has a special interest in art; her artwork can be found in The American Journal of Hand Therapy. She finds that occupational therapy allows her to combine her passions for art and science- especially when designing custom splints for her patients. Emma guides each patient through an individualized course of rehabilitation and enjoys treating a wide variety of diagnoses. Emma is committed to staying current with the most recent literature to ensure evidence-based rehabilitation.

Emma is currently a Certified Kinesiotaping Practitioner (CKTP), and utilizes kinesiotape for pain relief, support, and edema reduction. She is a candidate to sit for the Hand Therapy Certification Board Exam (CHT-Certified Hand Therapist). This credential is given by the Hand Therapy Certification Commission (HTCC) marks the culmination of 4,000 hours and 3 additional years of study beyond her master’s degree training.
