Robert has been a practicing physical therapist in Maryland since he graduated with his doctorate in physical therapy from the University of Maryland, Baltimore in 2006. He is a certified clinical instructor from the APTA (American Physical Therapy Association) and has assisted with multiple teaching courses. Robert is a certified Kinesio taping practitioner and also certified in the Graston Technique, which he utilizes to break apart scar tissue and myofascial adhesions. Additionally, he is certified in FMS (functional movement screen) and SFMA (selective functional movement assessment), which he uses to assess and treat dysfunctional movement patterns.
Robert is trained in dry needling, which is used to eliminate trigger points and was trained by world-renowned physical therapist Jim Meadows in spinal and extremity manipulation. His senior reach project in physical therapy school was on piriformis syndrome. Robert is an army brat and has lived in California, Texas, Georgia, Panama and Maryland. He considers Maryland home and graduated from Seneca Valley High School in 1997 and University of Maryland Eastern Shore in 2001.
