Barbara graduated from Kansas University more than 35 years ago and went directly into the specialty of hand and UE therapy. She has experience treating everything from traumatic injuries to carpal tunnel syndrome (CTS). She started her career in Houston, Texas where she worked in a variety of settings treating elbow, wrist and hand injuries. She moved to Maryland in 2000 where she has continued to enjoy treating patients, as well as working with the physicians and staff at Aligned Orthopedic & Sports Medicine at Shady Grove Orthopaedics. Her specialties are custom splinting, wrist fractures and CMC arthritis. Away from her work, Barbara is outside, if possible, working in her yard, inside she works on jigsaw puzzles and watching her daughter play college soccer.
