Katie grew up in Montgomery County and attended Rockville High School. She graduated from Temple University in Philadelphia with a Bachelor of Science in Health Professions. She then attended University of Delaware where she earned a Master of Science in Clinical Health Science as well as a Doctorate of Physical Therapy, with clinical education focusing on orthopedic and sports injuries. Katie has trained in dance throughout her life and has a special interest in physical therapy for performing artists. Outside of work, Katie enjoys staying active and attending live music and theater events
