Sandra has over 35 years of experience as a Physical Therapist, graduating with a Bachelor’s degree from University of Maryland, College Park and a BS degree in Physical Therapy at Northwestern University.
She started first at Suburban Hospital, then worked at both Georgetown and George Washington Universities Hospitals. She quickly focused her specialty on outpatient orthopedics and eventually to the private practice setting.
Sandra has continued her education throughout her career with a strong influence based on manual therapy techniques to include: Mulligan Concept, Canadian Manual Therapy, Maitland and McKenzie Approach, Kaltenborn-Evjenth Concept and Stan Paris Approach (Institute of Graduate Physical Therapy).
Working for 20 years for Shady Grove Orthopaedics, Sandra has experience treating all orthopedic conditions to include; sports injuries, injuries or conditions requiring surgical and non-surgical intervention. Her specialties include treatment to the spine and sacroiliac joints, but she is equally comfortable working with the other joints of the body.
Sandra says, that for herself, she finds a deep sense of fulfillment when she sees her patients improve and recover.
